Having launched our political tale in the first three chapters, the two that follow will do the same for the gay story embedded within it.
In tonight’s chapter we’ll learn how some of the characters we’ve met thus far plan to spend their weekend. That will include Eric Ford, our gay congressional aide, about whom we’ll begin to learn more.
As I’ve mentioned elsewhere, embedding one story within another is not as easy as it may seem at first glance because readers may prefer one to the other and striking exactly the right balance can be difficult.
Keeping the two stories in sync poses challenges as well.
To put it another way, it remains to be seen whether both stories can be given their due. In any event, Chapter 4 is up. I hope you enjoy it.
By the way, if you haven’t already noticed, I’ve posted the cast of characters for the story thus far under the Justice heading above. I’ll be updating it after each new chapter is posted online if new characters are added (as will be the case with this week’s chapter).
I realize keeping track of all of the characters and their importance is difficult. Hopefully this handy reference will make it easier to refresh your memory if you forget who a particular character is.
