Justice …

U.S. Supreme Court West Facade

This evening we begin a new story I’m calling Justice. Tonight’s chapter, which is longer than usual, and the two that follow will introduce you to some of the main characters and set the stage for what follows.

Not all of the characters you meet in the first three chapters will play major roles in the story, but many of them will so take your time getting acquainted with them. If you haven’t already read the synopsis and/or the preview, I would encourage you to do so before reading Chapter 1. They may provide some helpful context.

By the way, the image above is a view of the west facade of the U.S. Supreme Court. If you click on the image, you’ll get a much larger view, including of those famous words everyone associates with the Court.

If you’re interested in learning more about the building itself, take a look at this link provided by the Court, this second one from Wikipedia, and/or this final one that comes courtesy of the Architect of the U.S. Capitol.

I’ll leave it at that for the moment and let you to move on to Chapter 1. As always, comments are welcome, especially on whether the way the story is narrated works for you or whether you find it confusing.

If you think it would help, I could also publish a cast of characters to make it easier to keep track of everyone you’ll be meeting.
