Chapter 33

Cape Henlopen High School

With the publication of Chapter 33 we’ve completed Part III of Summer Boys, Summer Dreams. In retrospect, I probably tried to cram too much into this latest chapter. But there’s no sense crying over spilled milk. I did what I did and there’s nothing to do about it.

As I mentioned last week, I’m going to take a little time off over the holidays. I’ve been working on an introduction to the rest of the story and I plan to post that instead of a new chapter a week from today. I’ve also decided to go ahead and finish up the story as originally planned. The first chapter of Part IV will appear on January 6.

In the meantime, there is still time left for you to help a young boy or girl in need this holiday season. If you haven’t done so already, please read this post and contribute generously. It’s been a tough winter so far and there are boys and girls out there on the streets who desperately need your help. What better way to celebrate the season?

In any event, have fun reading and be sure to let me know what you think.

  1. Merry Christmas. Thank you for sharing the links of ways to Help and for keeping the Christ in Christmas. I selected the Trevor project and happily supported them with my donation. I also liked it on Facebook and posted a link on my newsfeed so all my friends will get the message they should consider supporting. Blessings to you and wishes for a merry Christmas and joyous holidays. I am glad you’re going to complete the story as originally planned. I really enjoyed Hunter’s Story and Chapter 33. Sad that he didn’t get to keep his teaching job due to bigotry and grandiosity on the part of the school board. Hopefully he will connect with Ethan and they will confess their Love for each other! I look forward to learning how it will be from them and all the wonderful characters you have created. Best wishes for a very Happy New Year.

    1. Thanks, Janet. You can never know for sure, but I’m betting that what you’ve done will be a big plus for someone in need of help. Better than anyone, I know miracles are possible when people dig down deep and let their better angels prevail. Thank you for all you’ve done. It means a LOT to me personally.

As far as the story goes, be sure to keep your eyes posted for my introduction to Part IV . . . and then keep the faith. Winter can be hard, but spring inevitably follows.

Have a safe and happy new year. I’m looking forward to seeing you back here then.
